Gary, as much as I respect your scholarship and appreciate the generosity you have consistently shown towards engaging with contributors to this List, IMO the sarcasm, belittlements and overall intransigence which accompanies many of these posts detracts from the genuine magnaminity also present. Sure you keep a lid on the knee jerk cynicism and the infantile polemics, but you make up for these communicative distortions with your own brand of nastiness and intellectual bulliness, not to mention outright condescension :-( . </P>
<P>So I don't consider either of us are really in a position to make a claim for how the content or mode of expression of posts should be. </P>
