Agreed, but I am afraid, that after 911 it is not enogh for U.S.
goverment and public.

Pax Americana was a good system when US feld that its nation was
secure. Nowadays oneone is feel secure; no Geneve convention, US does
not recognize Hague international court of justice, both CIA and Mossad
have promision to kill anyone, who they think that are connected with
terrorists, US does not need UN's  assent to war etc. And Russian's army
continue genoside...Why don't we restore the old system: USA contra
Soviet Union. There Afganistan was and Vietnam war, but there was some
rules and terrorists have only a minor role; miserably clowns of
Bader-Meinhof etc. All big operations where in the hands of CIA or KGB.

Hussein would appear  to be angling for a fairly substantial pay off
(including immunity from prosecution for war crimes) as recompense for
services past provided to the U.S. So, pension him and his cronies off.
Let them enjoy the road to Damascus. It's a win-win outcome IMO. Peace
and pragmatism.
