But, it is excessively ideological.  The issues selected by  journalists 
overtly and especially covertly have much to be desired.  It is  not simply a 
scandal marked arena, but it actively promotes and exacerbates  scandals, hence it 
is antagonistic.  Violations that are really outrageous  are structured and 
presented for their own self-interests, minutiae and  irrelevancy is amplified 
often at the cost of serious quality of life  issues.  The media takes for 
granted issues of communication which are  contentious and merely sustains a cult 
of personality.
 
Authoritarianism is a problem in the US, but it is so everywhere.   Many 
people act as if they are threatened and project their aggression in  domination 
rituals.  It is everywhere.
