You can probably read some of the later stuff profitably without knowing Being and Time. Say, "Introduction to Metaphysics" I would suggest reading at least the first few chapters of Being and Time, though, to get a taste of the sort of the more or less straitforward phenomenological inquiry that serves as a launching point for the later stuff. Then read some later stuff, maybe something really "relevant" like "The Question Concerning Technology." Or just pick up Basic Writings and start reading whatever looks groovy. The deeper you delve into it all, the more you see how the early and the late stuff work together as a whole. I'm just starting to get a sense of this myself.
