Heidegger's "totalizing account" is trying to be more catholic than
Catholicism.

He tries to baptize Aristotle for his own purpose: Wrestling with his
faith, he rejects transubstantiation ("a misunderstanding of ousia") but
affirms the advent of beyng.

P.S. A flame war of Thomist vs. Heideggerian jargon sounds pretty boring to
me.

I am neither Thomist nor Heideggerian. Call me "Marionist" (after Jean-Luc
Marion) if you want to label me and thereby try and draw me into a flame
war. Good luck.
