Actually I can't speak for another, so won't attempt to. I can only suggest from this perspective, that one should be clear between the distinctions "Playing Chess" and "Analysing, Playing Chess". Human Beings have this funny habit of mistaking the symbol for the thing, mistaking the concept for the physical reality, mistake the thinking about something, for that thing. Like the man who chooses a place to dine by it's extensive menu... Most people are caught up in appearance of, the "Thinking of", to the point that they are not even present to the "IS" of things. There is great value in understanding a performance... but the man who understands the performance, still never know's the joy, the power, the unbridles passion of performing, until he actually commits the act for himself. This is what Robert describes as "Life On the Court... Not in the Stands". Life is best, when it is not a spectator sport...
