Phil, Indeed I have ordered the book on Hermeneutics. Still hasn't
arrived yet. I'm looking forward to have a look-see. And you are right,
I am still hung with how to think about things like "growth" and
"functional" and "healthy" and "spiritual". It seems as though, however,
a focus on dasein as a disclosive openness, and Dreyfus' wonderful
article that states a path that is neither relativistic nor
objectivistic, significantly lightens the load here for me. Also, I like
very much Charlie's reference to the "lifting out" phenomenon (which
seems to fit nicely with both a hermeneutic methodology, and the
philosophy of Heidegger's ontology).
