Is there anyone who does not recognize nursing, dominance, spectatorship
- inside the community (s)he grew up in? And doesn't one recognize these
sets of behaviour even before one knows the name of these sets?

Nevertheless, what is said in the words "nursing", "dominance" and
"spectatorship" is meant. This "meaning" has only meaning in relation to
Dasein.

Heidegger adds here: Dasein - and adds that Dasein is a thinking kind of
questioning (GA65:80).

Isn't this a reduction of Dasein to the extreme: thinking and
questioning? In other words, a return to Descartes with his epidemic
doubt?

This cannot be Heidegger's last answer. Nor can it answer Michael's
original question - which cannot be answered, and is not meant to be
answered. The decisions of those in power are not meant to be rational -
certainly not if they are weak, i.e. don't know how to wield power. In a
Shakespearian setting power is "rational" from the moment on it is
wielded by those who DO know how to wield it.

In relation to Rafael's "questioning" the above doesn't even touch the
first, most superficial level of his questioning. Rafael leads us into a
labyrinth that has no exit but a only Minotaur that without doubt will
(d)ea(fea)t us (since most of us have no - philosophical - Ariadne at
our side).

As long as Rafael keeps silent and doesn't want to share Ariadne (and
although jealous on the brink of insanity we cannot question his right
nor his wisdom to keep her for himself) - he'll be in the most
comfortable position - as the only one who is protected by her .

Rafael, since I know that late hours don't deter you, tell us!

Kindest regards,
Henk
