Does it go any further back than German - is there a Greek

Some see an Indogermanic _r_ or _l_ in Ossetic _zili0n_ or
_zelun_ "turn". In that case the Armenian _cir_ "circle"
would become a better possibility as well as the Swiss
_chi^re-n_ "bend sidewards and overturn".

You have probably Greek _guros_ "circle" in mind. I
cannot help you in this respect. I do not know if there
is a relation with _Kehre_.

Kindest regards,
Henk
