just bought is yesterday (_Being-in-the-world_) and it reads almost like a
novel. excellent it seems to me and (delightfully) confirms alot of my
experience as i've touched on here.

>I had previously read his dialogue in Magee (ed.) The

>reads Heidegger in a very particular (some would say un-Heideggerian) way.

you're british..yes? i love it how the british (social practices) seem to
detach themselves from themselves as in "one does not .... ." are you one
of "some" in this case and if so - can you say more 'bout dreyfus reading H
in an un-heideggerian way? as i read _being in the world_ i'd like
independent perspective.

>Some of the issues in interpretation are discussed in some recent articles

>Being-in-the-world is worth reading, and if you are already familiar with
>H's work you should be able to interpret the bits that are H and the bits
>that are Dreyfus fairly easily.

i've only skimmed H. that is the reason i ask for your illumination stuart.

best wishes--
