I like the Joycean rendering of "pigeon English". 
"...which doesn't mean that life (of animals) is inferior to human existence or 
on a lower level. Rather, life is a region which has a richness of openness in a 
way which perhaps the human world knows nothing of."

One meaning of "metaphysical isolation" (cf. GA26) is the chasm that separates 
us from the animals, the chasm we look into when looking into a dog's eyes, for 
example, and imagine how we somehow 'understand' each other.
