Dear Greg and Henk,

Thank you both for your detailed answers to my questions.  You have given me
a lot to mull over, which I will now go and do.  Henk, in particular the
position you outline is  close to what I had expected but could not
demonstrate, and you have helped me greatly in clarifying how the relation
or otherwise between Husserl and Heidegger might be understood.

It's interesting how the example of the 'Kathedersehen' comes back again and
again in helping to interpret Heidegger's later work.
