Is there >an authentic and inauthentic mode of care? And how does the term >ready-at-hand apply to the categories of authentic and inauthentic. I think "care" (Sorge; maybe, "concernfulness") is the activity that Dasein directs towards the ready-to-hand, not "belonging to things ready-to-hand." And I don't think there is any direct relationship between the ready-to-hand and the question of authenticity, since that is always the question for Dasein. I think you've confused the ready-to-hand of things with Dasein, that unique "thing" for which being is an issue. kindest regards, henry --- from list heidegger-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
