From: "Prof. Dr. Rafael Capurro" <capurro-AT-hbi-stuttgart.de> Subject: Re: fact-checking on Marx Date: Sat, 3 Oct 1998 19:33:32 +0200 there is a famous dictum from heidegger (published somewhere!), where he reminds the last thesis on Feuerbach with regard to world interpretation and world change (revolution), and he says: in order to change the world (really) you have to re-interpret it. so this sentence is begging the argument. I remember some articles from the 60s and 70s on Heid. and Marx from an colleague from Yugoslavia, but I forgot now the name, sorry rafael -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Michael Eldred <artefact-AT-t-online.de> An: heidegger-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu <heidegger-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu> Datum: Freitag, 2. There's reference to him in the "Letter on Humanism" and also in the late seminars (under the impact of May 1968), but there is never any in-depth engagement with Marx which could compare even remotely with the deep involvement with, say, Nietzsche or Hegel. Heidegger's reading of Marx seems to be restricted to the Economic-Phil. MSS and the German Ideology. Much later he read the Theses on Feuerbach too. The Critique of Political Economy never touched his thinking.
