Jan,

I think there is (still) a misunderstanding on whether (real) things exist
independent of Dasein (Heidegger calls this: _Reales_): this is what you
assert and Heidegger too!
The question is not about beings (what you also call _world_)
but about Being or our _casting_ (or _understanding_) of beings with
regard to their being.
It would be contradictory to say that understading is there (?) without
understanding...

You are a realist and Heidegger too, as far as _Reales_ is concerned (i.e.
the existence of things independet of Dasein).
I do not know what is the translation of _Reales_ and _Realitaet_ in
English.

_Realitaet_ is, to speak in a traditional language, a _category_ i.e. a
_viewpoint_ how we see _Reales_ (that exists indepenently of the knower). In
other words, the being of beings is the result of understanding, but beings
themselves are not a product of understanding (H. is not idealist, no less
than Kant: the conditions of possibility of experience are at the same time
(not: the!!!) conditions of possibility of the objects of experience. The
first part of this sentence is what, mutatis mutandis, H. calls
_Seinsverstaendnis_ (or Being). The difference between H. and Kant is that
H. does not fix understanding (of Being) within the knowledge apparatus of
the subject.

Do you agree with this?

Rafael
