Subject: re: Will to Power = Technology = Essence of Metaphysics = Valuation

The thesis I'm working on is centred particularly on valuation. I find
that Marx was on to something when he began Kapital with an analysis of
commodity value as opposed to use value, but his narrowing of the field
such that commodity value becomes synonymous with abstract labour is
unconvincing when money itself has become a commodity that is valued, sold
and traded. Relating commodity valuation with Nietzsche's revaluation of
all values, but centred on mood-disordered Dasein, is probably the simplest
way of explaining the work I'm trying to write.

Cheers
Andrew

henry, you wrote recently:

Well, my main project with respect to Heidegger (and my intellectual life)
is the production of a large and extensive web site (exploiting mainly its
capacity for hypertextual playfulness) concerned with the essence of
technology (as will-to-power/will, as the consummation of metaphysics, as
the ends of man...). This project will necessarily bring into play
Heidegger, Nietzsche (and Heidegger's Nietzsche and Nietzsche's Heidegger)
and Marx, but also McLuhan, Althusser, Kubrick, Derrida et al...,
Parmenides, Heraclitus, Socrates etc. I would be very interested in reading
your thesis - any chance of seeing it?

thoughtfully yours
