Where would we be without psychological explanations?

Are you saying that Heidegger joined the NSDAP because he saw the necessity of 
racism and the genocide of the Jews (Endloesung) “in these horrible times”, as 
you put it? And are you saying that Heidegger’s thinking in the period 1934-1944 
corresponded with this decision to join the Nazi Party, i.e. that his thinking 
“agreed in principle with their [the Nazis’] "Endloesung"? (your e-mail today to 
Frank Edler) If you are saying that, then you have solved (at least for 
yourself) the problem of “where Heidegger’s thinking went wrong” and not only 
became fascist, but also affirmed complicity with mass murder. 

I wonder if others (e.g. Greg) accept your solution.
