Subject: Re: Heidegger and Joyceand theater


A few thoughts occured to me here. I am a playwright, and teach theatre, and
have found Heidegger a perfect thinker for those trying to understand the
nature of the stage and theatre. I won't go into a long dissertation here on
the many ways I see H's thought being to useful to the theatre artist,but
essentially the later H and the way he discusses Art and approaches poetry, is
very like what a Peter Brook, or Kantor,...would try to have students start
with. If anyone has any observations on this or knows of any writing on H and
theatre I'd love to hear it. thanks  Steppling
