The way you formulate the problem takes it away from what Heidegger did when and where, and towards his thinking - and indeed it is his thinking, and the way it may influence us today - that is at stake. In fact it is the only thing that is of any interest to us today. Biographical details only indicate that there may be a problem with this thinking.
