folks,

from his telling krebs, when reneging
on the baby's baptism, that his philosophical
work was the basis of his  break with
the catholic church, doesn't there rise an  inference 
that his equally momentous complementary political act
shared the same provenance?
...secular gospel, pontiff, onto-theology?

either that or both were opportunism?
in which case there's the likelihood 
of an opus part meritricious, part authentic,
...another sort of nightmare 
for hermeneutical scholarship.
