Date: Mon, 25 Jan 1999 00:26:48 PST I also, as a german, strongly believe that there is a need to disconnect H´s personal practical life in these difficult times and his philosophy. There´s no need to arguee. To do the things he has done, and than returning into his quite corner, not giving any excuses or explanations for the rest of his life, wasn´t the right answer. Maybe i´m not so well informed, but after all, what do we know about this 'afterlife'. What do we know about his conscience and his regrets. I think there are no exuses for him! Maybe there are ressources, so inform me. Yes, we do know how we would have manage his life. Do we? But we weren´t there, and we are not him, and we do know absolutly nothing about his 'inner feelings'. Blame him for not informing us. In this context: Wittgenstein: Tractatus logico-philosophicus, last sentence. I suppose You all know it.
