And H. pays special attention to the incommensurability of what Nietzsche in fact publicized and what he held back and was later edited in the Grossoktavausgabe. (now most of it in "Der Wille zur Macht", which is according to one of the many scheme's, Nietzsche left). And even in "Also sprach Zarathustra", the exposition of the ER is procrastinated (hinausgezoegert). One of these notes from August contains the sequence: Die Einverleibung der Irrtuemer - The incorporation of the errors (that is: metaphysical errors) (2): Where is the erroneous metaphysics, Nietzsche is turning against? Einverleibt in the Leib/body, incorporated in the corpus. That's why he can say: I am Plato. One doesn't need to read Plato, he is already in the body, that sees the idea, that 'believes' in the idea as the true reality. And indeed: how can I, reading the word 'potatoe', or looking at the "Potato-eaters', or seeing a potatoe on my plate, rely on the sameness of 'potatoe', irrespective of whether I posit the supernatural existence of the idea 'potatoe', or believe it is a mere thought or word? How can this seeing of essences ever be refuted? By incorporating the ER, biting off the head of the snake and so BECOME, what is: the ER, thinking the thought of the ER oneself. The biting happens in a (decisive) moment. It's the momentary character of the ER, which makes it ER: the eternity is momentary. The dwarf evades the interiorization of the thought, and his eternity is again an idea, an illusion. What is it, that makes Zarathustra shudder, hearing his animals say, what he is? The eternal return of the little man, of all that illusionary, that doesn't know the 'truth' about itself, but which has to be affirmed with a contempt out of love. Everyone rather wants to be the hammer than the nail, but here you have to be both. Truth itself is a kind of error, needed by a specific form of life. (what about the truth/falsity of WtP and ER themselves? - later) In the moment of eternity, everything is the same. And there is no escaping this utmost indifference. Would there be a goal, it would already have been attained. (Wille zur Macht, no. ?) Nietzsche: "Everything has come back: the Sirius and the spider and your thoughts in this hour and this thought of yours, that everything returns" Thus the thought itself becomes the hammer in the hand of the most powerful man. "Recapitulation: "To impress the character of Being on Becoming: the highest will to power. - Summit of meditation." This is clearly the ER. "We" said before: What is WtP, livng, becoming, as such? Answer: Eternal return. Now, what is the ER? Answer: the highest WtP. Question: what is this circle?
