Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2001 16:18:48 +0200 From: Rene de Bakker <rbakker-AT-bs18.bs.uva.nl> Subject: Re: titles and lethe "Plato and Aristoteles turn the experience of aletheia into the concept of the idea or the eidos, transforming an everyday ontical word into an artificial ontological concept." This is (more or less) a note in the new German GA edition (GA 7) of Vortraege und Aufsaetze - Lectures and essays (?), one in The question of technique. It is meant against objections to the 'artificial concept': Gestell. Heidegger: What is expected of readers with the neologism Gestell is far more innocent than what Plato did in his time with the taking over of idea from everyday language. In the foreword: As long as they remain unread [read: not understood - RdB] they remain lectures and essays. The same goes for the Contributions. It is the first title. Hidden behind it the real one: Of Enowning (not: From Enowning). Not read, they are just contributions. And finally: the foreword of Holzwege/Woodways (?): One can only read each separate piece, while having all the others in mind. Question to Mr. Schenk: how do I start?
