well, ken, i'm glad you haven't lost your sense of humor yet :-)

  but i'm afraid things are getting quite serious now, what puzzles me
  most is why both Russia and China seem to allow (and support ??)
  this "holy war" in their backyards; if the US walks further in this
  trap, this, imho, will have great repercussions for the US in the
  current global power balance - and is it worth the risks ? [the risk
  of terrorist counter-attacts, the risk fighting a multi-front war,
  the risk of splitting the NATO, the risk of disrupting the (already
  weak) world economy of which the US and its european lackeys
  are so dependent, the risk of a further East-West polarisation with
  an escalation of its poisoning propaganda machines on both sides,
  etc. ?]

tell me, ken, how must i (we) explain this to my (our) childeren ?
