Hi, Rene. Just an aside: 'Solaris' and 'Stalker' would be in my top20 films of all time;
'Solaris' the perfect complement to the contemporaneous '2001' of Kubrick (which would
also be in my top20). The sense of thinking that pervades, soaks, all three films is
unmistakable and clings to one way beyond the viewing, the witnessing of such sensualised
spiritings. I wonder what Heidegger would have thought about such works had he witnessed
them -- he didn't appear to mention filmic art in his writings that I know of...

And both Tarkovsky and Kubrick have met their deaths leaving behind a stunning wealth of
great art.
