Certainly DesCartes' cogito was seen as a fundamental being-with mode: those who think (like us guys), therefore are (like us guys). What Heidegger founds being-with by, is the temporal background, the totality of involvements, the cultural practices, the horizon, the Open, et al. That unhandle-able temporal activity Dasein is about in order to care for and/or cope with the world, and which we mostly do by falling-in-with (rather than authentically)... Right?
