I have just run into him. I cannot get what seems to be his most interesting book, cannot remember title. However, it really seemed fascinating by the title alone (I'm a person that can forget his own name.). I have just got a book by three scholars of Jewish philosophy including his PHILO: Selections. Also, Alexander Altman on Saadya Gaon and Issak Heinemann on Jehuda Halevi. The short biography says nothing about his works or purpose. Did you know Heidegger mentions a very obscure North African Jewish philosopher named Issac Issacs on a specific point of logic in a very short footnote in BEING AND TIME? I'm sure you've noticed, but maybe the others haven't. The man has read everything. Thomas Sheehan is the same way. It alwaysawes me. Also, I am finally starting Joseph Frank's biography of Dostoyevsky. If you have not read it, it is excellent, I think, in very hasty evaluation. Gary C.
