In the trial of Jud, rarely have I seen such naked contempt for a fellow
thinker amongst iso-politicians; and I do smell iso-politics here, whose
odour is adhominism.

I for one, in favour of Jud, submit that he stands upon the violence of
the positive thesis; other more urbane philosophers might succumb to the
bark of worldliness where Jud holds a steady plow.

In the words of the late James Murray, editor of the OED:

"It is one of the hateful characteristics of a degenerate age, that the
idle world will not let the worker alone, accept his offering of work &
appraise it for itself, but must insist upon [...] troubling itself a
great deal more about his little peculiarities & personal pursuits, than
his abiding work."
