Jud:

Niala needs to be told, in order that she be better able to make her own
mind up regarding Heidegger, i.e., that many people consider him to be an
academic rogue, who made no "discovery," simply because there is nothing to
be "discovered," in the first place, and the fact he claimed that there is
something "Being-There" or some mysterious "presence" at all, is only
something that he and his acolytes and altar boys imagine when the
succubus who sucks sucks..

Sorry, Niala asked about what Heidegger not Jud (who?) thought about being.
Your disabusing 'poor little Niala ' (as you must regard her -- surely she
can make her own mind up! why is she studying Heidegger in the first place!
Your sermonising is simply an attempt at control) of her actual questioning
(as just asking about "some mysterious "presence" etc" was just an
inexcusable excuse for your Heidegger-bashing project and has nothing
whatsoever to do with her question. Surely even in your own twisted terms,
for her to be "better able to make her own mind up regarding Heidegger" she
needs to have her actual question answered by someone who can simply and
eloquently state what Heidegger thought (whether agreeing or not, someone
who actually understands Heidegger). Then she can think about that and
consider opposing viewpoints regarding Heidegger's thinking (if necessary).
To that end, I think Michael Eldred gave an exemplary condensed answer to
her question. (She was not asking whether Heidegger was onto something
(un)worthwhile or non-existent: she asked about Heidegger's thinking of
being). And you are not even the weakest link (once again). Goodbye.
