While I am equally concerned with the affairs being perpetrated by the U.S,
government, using criteria, such as non-compliance with UN resolutions, by
which they do not hold friendly countries equally accountable, I have to
question at what point this topic veered from even remotely
Heidegger-connected?

So what if the US proof from a UK "report" was primarily plagiarized from a
grad students essay published last summer? The people who want war to look
good are going to do it. So again, where is Heidegger's thought in this
discussion? Of course, after the fact we can say that this or that is in
line with, or contrary to, or addressed by his thought. But if the
discussion is about H's thought as related to these affairs, then perhaps we
should say where the connection is. Otherwise, if all that is desired is
political mudslinging, then there are plenty of lists that are concerned
with that. I was under the (mistaken?) impression this list was at least
somewhat focused on Heidegger and his thinking, writing, etc.

But, then again, since I don't resort to personal inflammatory comments
toward list members even when supposedly posting about H, then I am probably
grossly confused about the focus (such as there is) of this list. So never
mind, go back to your "intelligent" snipe hunting and personal attacks
veiled as "deep thoughts." SNL was never like this. Thank goodness.

Earl
