From: "rick issan" <rick_aei-AT-hotmail.com> Subject: thin gloss Date: Wed, 05 Mar 2003 20:02:41 -0500 The dense distinction of words of the Kabbalah may have some say here on man's difficulty surrounding the speaking of being. Four worlds of being are as follows: atzilut [emanation] is the nearest and is without shadow; beriyah [creation] is an ex nihilo beginning and novelty; yetzirah [formation] is the gathering into one, especially of form and matter; and asiyah [actualization] is simple making and an ultimate completion. The thinking of nous is prior to speech: thus to say 'let it be' and it is so is to deal with what already is, that from which what may be drawn, or substance. Such is it with light. But to create one must not say, or rather say then have it so; one must distinguish from what is not, interpret, and let it be from the shadow of being. Such is it with darkness. So, speak already after. _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail --- from list heidegger-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
