The problem is that the US is not fighting ancient celts. It
is fighting people who are driven to protect their own lands
from vicious invaders (many of whom are teenagers away from
home for the first time). I would not call all the latest
technology better than celtic engineering, especially the
Patriot missiles. Have you watched the documentary on CBC
NewWorld lately about the Patriot missile? The Patriot
missiles do not work against Scuds.

The RAF just lost a jet to a Patriot missile. Then there is
the depleted uranium. The tanks which the US have are too
large to use in Baghdad. The Kalesnikovs are the most
'robust' weapon in the world.

Much of the new equipment is full of software bugs and
defects. The problem with aircraft is that it requires a
major overhaul and inspection every 100 hours.

The problem too with the newer equipment is that it is
extremely costly and much of it has not been tested in
action.
