Here is a recent example of Malthus' Thomistic Philosophy
(Social Darwinism) by the notorious former World Bank Chief
economist and US Treasury Secretary Lawrence H. Summers:

"I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic
waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable... because
foregone earnings from increased morbidity" are low. He adds
that "the underpopulated countries in Africa are vastly
underpolluted; their air quality is probably vastly
inefficiently low compared to Los Angeles.... "

Oh John this is so twisted. YES these facts are correct, but
NO it doesn't
help your position that the US was not instrumental in
ending WWII, because
do you realize what would have happened to Mother Russia if
Germany did not
have to deal with a western front??? Yes of course Russia
was essential in
ending the war, but without US involvement, Moscow would
have eventually
fallen. But at LEAST they would have put up one hell of a
fight, unlike
France.

Anthony, can you prove this?

I seem to have some other history books lying around on this
subject in my 3000 plus library. Do you want me to prove
that Moscow would not have fallen twice? It fell twice
during the Napoleonic Wars I believe.

Well for starters the German troops by time the US arrived
on the scene had been decimated, over 95% of them killed on
the eastern front, lots of deaths from starvation and frost.

I wish you could come up with at least one 'spurious reason'
for your statements about the lack of skill and
effectiveness of the US in the second world war. You have
conceded that I am right, but you have made a speculative
statement about 'what if the US was not there at all'?

Well I should let you know that the Germans lacked an
airforce even as the US entered the war. Secondly there was
insufficient oil and gas left for the Germans to fight a
successful war. The US were instrumental in speeding the end
of the war, but certaintly not ending the war. You are
saying that if the US was not involved, then there would
still be German Nazi's all over the continent. Ha Ha that is
funny.
