...the matirx of differences betweem the Semitic, Arabic, &
Western churches are as complex as are those among the various
cultures in which they are *embedded*.

For example:    it can be reasonably argued that semitic and
arabic tribes and many other collectives are matriarchies
disguised by custom as patriarchies...in fact, for Jews, the
mother is the hearth of religion and she is awarded the awesome
task to imbue the moral and ethical fabric of the patriarchs into
each ball of flesh into whose eyes she gazes while in her arms
(after Merleau-Ponty & Levinas). The wise women send out the men
into the world to do busyness and to loose themselves. They laugh
behind men's posturing! So, too, did the pre-Columbian
women...they sent their men off to sweat lodges to smoke their
dreams while the real work of the world was done at the hearth...

I tire of these shop-worn assaults and ad hominems...can we ever
get beyond them, this list? this droll form of a pissing match
has been going on for at least ten years that I know of,
boys--and wht is the gain? piss-stained archives...    ;-} rap.
