Interesting, politicians reading Thucydides and Plato.

Shall we invade discussions like these, and show the way
from Strauss to Heidegger?

Maybe it is necessary now that the world is held in
an iron grip, in order to prevent surprises.
Technologically the world state is already there,
so in that sense all wars are civil wars.
The political and social awareness just lags behind.
Juenger and Schmitt considered already WW2 as a
civil war.

These neo-cons seem determined, and that's a good thing
in itself.
Please note that, though placing their claims next to
them, I have not called them fascists. This naming is
ueberhaupt meaningless. Undemocratic they are for sure.
But democracy as such has become an empty value....
So better be undemocratic than supportive of something
that is not possible anymore. Which leads to a lot of
paradoxes, like that it is more honest to be dishonest.

But ultimately they have no idea what for. They can only say:
Safety, prosperity, principles. Yes, in that order.
I must read more Strauss, but what i smell till now, is
a perfect nihilist. That's a good STARTING point.

(Eumeswil: the possibilities of politics in times of
 total cholera.)
