Maybe gods aren't that great, as Chartres and atheists
make believe.

There's a Hoelderlin line where they're feeling warm
to one another.

Hoelderlin relatively seldom mentions their names. 
Instead: father aether, the quixotic night, godly fire,
the heavenly choir, the joy of wine.

Also the Titans retire, when heavenly light meets us shadows.
"Even the envious, even Cerberus drinks and sleeps."

Alone, we're easy prey for the titans.
