As usual  you missed the point, which was Rene's claim that the repentant and 
remorseful
Philosopher of Nazism Heidegger was apologising [with the metaphorical 
assistance of the local church bells] for the victims of the holocaust who 
were 
'sacrificed' by his pals in the death camps, [to whom we are not told - to 
Hitler? 
To the Germanic Gods of the forests?]

Rene's claim was - well here it is again - read it for yourself - it must win 
the gold prize for being the silliest thing that has ever appeared
on the discussion lists concerning heidegger:

Now Rene without changing the subject to Hoelderlin, Rilke, Gadamer, 
Calcutta, Nominalism, Eminem, Catholicism, Anthony, Dr Eldred, 
Americans, America, Eurocentrism, George Orwell and so on and so on...can I 
please have a straight answer to a straight question to your assertion that 
Heidegger is speaking of Auschwitz in the Felweg extract.

(1) He speaks of two World Wars - which World War One Auschwitz Nazi 
Concentration Camp is he referring to? None.  Exactly.
(2) If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that the victims willingly sacrificed themselves?
(3)  If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that the victims unwillingly sacrificed themselves?
(4) If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that their Nazi killers willingly sacrificed them?
(5) If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that their Nazi killers unwillingly sacrificed them?
(6) If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that their Nazi killers unwillingly sacrificed them to 
Hitler?
(7) If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that their Nazi killers willingly sacrificed them to 
Hitler?
(8) If as you say he was referring to those who the Nazis murdered in 
Auschwitz. are you claiming that their Nazi killers willingly sacrificed them to the

(11) If so, why and to whom were the Jews sacrificed?
(12) Although [naturally] the bells didn't actually mention Auschwitz, why 
did the bells not mention [in Heidegger's crazed brain]  the host of other death 
camps?

Look stop re-stacking the books on the shelves for a moment and get yourself 
a book on Nominalism to read.

So can we have a straight answer now to these straight questions with taking 
us on a mystery tour of world history - stick with Heidegger and his church 
bells and his concern for the holocaust, which despite the unsuccessful efforts 
of the scholars the librarian from Antwerp has suddenly flushed out after 50 
years.
