But, John, is it not that Heidegger's (non-gestell) Rhine (or any river or
part of unculturalised 'nature') before being roped into the enframing, is
not a 'provider' of anything but just is what it is (when left a-lone...)?
withoout being made over for any thing, for any purpose whatsoever? Can we
ever just encounter a river, a cow in a field, etc, with out purpose, with
out it serving our desires, our imagery, our, our, our!
