Reminds me of the final scenes of Strangelove with the cowboy riding the nuke out of the bomb bay doors. And you can't say Dwight didn't warn you people. What do you make of some of the more disquieting bits and pieces coming out of the mainstream and internet press? Howard Dean questioning whether Bush etal knew about the plot to bring the towers down ( http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/opinion/7419093.htm )? And Tom Kean, the head of the 911 commission suggesting that it could and should have been stopped ( http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/12/17/eveningnews/main589137.shtml ). Wes Clark has suggested that the current administration aren't ultra right wing conservatives so much as militant fascists ( http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/ 445cqeal.asp ), and your own General Tommy Franks suggests that the next WMD attack on US soil will probably lead to the suspension of your constitution and the declaration of martial law ( http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2003/11/20/185048.shtml ). Did you hear much about the furore over Michael Meacher's conspiracy comments? Ex environment minister in the Blair government, he claims the entire war on terror is a pretext to put into action the ideology of US domination of the globe by force of arms ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1036571,00.html & http://politics.guardian.co.uk/iraq/story/0,12956,1036591,00.html ). And lastly, something almost completely unreported, one of the 911 widows has filed a racketeering suit against George Bush for the death of her husband on flight 77 ( http://www.911citizenswatch.org/ modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=33&mode=thread&order=0 &thold=0 ). This election propaganda cycle is starting to really heat up, could be in for a rough ride folks as there's a possibility of turbulence ahead so buckle up and whatever you do please remain seated. merry xmas, mr --- from list heidegger-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
