(As if, for starters, we're not already to some extent anonymous. As if our names mean anything outside the intermittent sequence of posts from our accounts. As if the sig/nature were stable in the first place.) I fail to see the point. And I find it scary: Rush Limbaugh is anonymous, Bob Dole is anonymous, and especially Timothy McVeigh is anonymous. Pat Robertson failed to name his sources, rendering anonymous both the text and the author of the vicious anti-Semitic conspiracy texts he plagiarized. I am really not into this anonymity bullshit. "Death of the author" does not mean anonymity, nor does it mean plagiarism. -f ------------------
