Subject: new listnames

What shall we call the new list, marxian? marx-phil? marxish?

I rather enjoy 'fake-leftist' and 'groucho-marxist', but those are
sort of inside jokes, from inside marxism list.

The plan is that the new list shall be anti-sectarian and mostly
polite, or else - expulsion. Also, I want no more
anti-'academic'ism, and no more measuring everything by whether or
not it fits some particular orthodoxy, or 'forwards the revolution'.

I want to be able to discuss the implications and influence of
marxian thought in an inter-occupational and inter-disciplinary way.
It should allow for discussion of struggle and methods of social
change as well as relations of marxian thought to any and every other
field of thought / activity.

For the old one, I'm thinking of calling it 'left', as in
left-behind. I don't know what would happen with it, because if the
rest of us leave, then the maoist maniacs will have nobody to leaflet
and denounce. I guess they can all just congratulate each other on
their great success, which is fine, because they will _not_ be
allowed to invade the new list.

Any suggestions for names?

Lisa
