Hello, friends.

I am a master's student in the English department of Illinois State University.
Currently I am doing my thesis on the Lyotard, Lacan, and the unpresentable in
both. I would like to respond to A.Simons, our friend from Holland, who is
dealing with the aesthetico-political sublime in Lyotard, and say to him that
his subject is fascinating. Dear friend, the translation of Discours, Figure is
in progress, but, I am sure you know, some parts of it have already been
published in English--and with Lyotard's approval and supervision--in the
Inhuman or in Lyotard Reader. I think they are very close to being accurate.

Like Mr Simons, I would love to trigger a discussion of Lyotard's flirtation
with aesthetics, politics, the merger of the two, literature, psychoanalysis
etc.

Greetings

              Emmanuel Aretoulakis
