I say Lyotard says that the sublime is that which escapes representation.
Is the alterity of the other thus subline? do we experience the subline
when we come to suspect that the other in her subjectivity is more than is
dreamed of in our symbolic orders. Is that which escapes the symbolic
order the differend? Am I being totally turnip witted? Is three days of
silence the norm for this list?

Actually, three weeks is more like it. I think this list is sublime- 
it has escaped representation.
