Hi all

Like Theresa, I've been on this list for a few months, and heard very 
little.

I have come to Lyotard as a bit of an indiscriminant reader as well, 
kind of via Foucault and Baudrillard.  As such, I don't have that much 
to offer by way of views on 'sovereignty', at least re Lyotard.  
However, it sounds interesting, so I would be interested in having these 
ideas 'tested out' here!

On another note - someone mentioned 'differend' in a previous post.  
This to me is a very useful tool in coming to grips with the extent to 
which we are bounded by social/epistemological 'events'.  If anyone has 
the time, what kind of work does Lyotard want this concept to do?
