Subject: differends and PMTH


I want to announce an up and coming article that I will
soon have in print on the concept of a differend.  It is
not yet available, but I may make a summary available.  It
is:

Shawver, L. (1998), On the Clinical Relevance of Selected
Postmodern Ideas: with a Focus on Lyotard's Concept of
"Differend".  Journal of the American Academy of
Psychoanalysis, 26(4), 617-635.

And I also want to apologize for sending a private note to
Don inquiring if our list (Postmodern Therapies) is right
for him.  Others here are welcome to talk with me about
joining.  I did not mean to be so exclusive.  If you're
interested in joining our discussion, you might want to

Write me if you think you fit the profile of the group,
more or less.  The discussions have a more "therapeutic"
slant than they do on this list but I think many of you
might enjoy both lists -- and you'll find some names from
this Lyotard list at PMTH.
