what about this quick reading?:  another way to think of parology is as the
logic of technoscience as opposed to "science" and "philosophy."
technoscience funds and seeks what works, not what is consistent by the
rules of definition: identity, division and excluded middle.  i don't mean
to say that lyotard is celebrating technoscience, but just to point out that
legitimation has left the traditional rules of knowledge-making aside.
confronting it politically by the old rules is useless.
