Subject: Sacrificial Death - Violence against others or one's self.

Dear All,

As a liberal, I sympathize with much of what is being written in opposition
to our most recent war, and the suicidal killers it targets.

But I think the religious wars, which for two millenia have been so
destructive of our species, are being superseded by secular global wars in
which billionaire entrepreneurs increase their wealth by industrial conquest
of third-world nations, using a priesthood of scientists and other academics
to develop and apply the technology of death.

And using traditional Judeo-Christian believers to motivate the masses.

Nietzsche said God was dead.

While believers live God isn't dead, but as in every war since Nietzsche,
God is being used to motivate the masses to sacrifice themselves and further
enrich the wealthy.

The alternative? I wish we knew.

Sincerely,
Hugh Bone
