I was kind of appointed by Eric to read Lyotard through his later works. But other projects have set me adrift (Thomas de Quincey and David Cronenberg). Rod, Please don't take this as burden. I am totally lacking in any powers here. I merely made this suggestion because frankly I am sympathetic to this approach and would like to hear more. By the way, I was just reading recently that the situationists such as Debord liked reading de Quincey and his views on opium and the city may have had an influence upon the concept of the derive.
