Here's something I've been perplexed about for awhile.  Why 
don't the Palestinians follow the lead of South Africans 
against Apartheid, and demonstrate more along those lines?  
They could even take a song or two that the Jews sang to 
unify one another against the Nazis.  Wouldn't that be 
something if they used the same tune but just changed the 
words to make them more relevant to their struggle?  

Sometimes it seems as if the Palestinians simply don't want 
to be seen as an exploited or repressed people.  Sometimes it 
seems like they would rather fight fire with fire.  Are there 
cultural explanations for this?
