Technically whilst Mr Smith has become 'viral' as a consequence of his
ability to 'copy' himself the Oracle which remains a 'singular' uninfecting
being is not. Though in modern speech the ludicrous ideas the Oracle speaks
are perhaps viral....

I think that the Oracle says that the Crows are simply 'code' and that
'someone wrote them' - the interesting point to note is that it is a safe
assumption that the Oracle is referring to a 'someone' as a 'Person' which
is more inclusive a term than the notion of the 'Human'. Bizarrely, of
course, a 'person' in the Oracle's Virtual frame of reference is always
already virtual and that 'She' does cannot differentiate between the two.

A Haraway of the Virtual landscape is improbable - for, I think that within
the virtual world of the Matrix it remains impossible to know if either of
them represents the 'real' rather than some consensual hallucination.
Underlying the position is the assumption of extending the 'actual' deeper
into the 'virtual' and thus making it real. The virtual and the real in the
Matrix is perhaps really a mask of an interspecies conflict.

[Perhaps Bergsonian Creative evolution rather than darwinian]
